In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice. Also all our buildings are now closed to both public and clergy.
We have two services on a Sunday, one on a Wednesday and one on a Thursday.
The church is also open for prayer Monday to Thursday 8.30am and 5.30pm. (Not during the current Vacancy)
The main sung Sunday Service is at 10:00am.
1st Thursday of the month Healing and Wholeness Service
Last Thursday of the month Requiem Mass.
8am Holy Communion
10am Parish Eucharist
9.30am Morning Prayer (except last Wednesday of the month)
10am Holy Communion St. Michaels East Wickham
7.30pm Requiem Mass (last Thursday of the month only)
Junior Pilgrims are youth section at St. Mary's, which enables our young people to become an integral part of our church family.
Children from around five years and up are welcome to come along to take part in our Junior Pilgrims (JP) at 10.00am every Sunday.
The JP start in the church and then leave the service after the welcome and first hymn to meet in our Church Halls. They then rejoin the rest of the congregation for the Eucharist and latter part of the service.
We actively encourage adult members of the congregation to come along and help with the JP to bring the family at St. Mary's together across our age ranges.
Pilgrim People is a fairly recent development and is for our 'older' (secondary school age) young people. They meet every Sunday during the 10.00am service and once a month in the Chapel.
We also have a large Family Area at the rear of the church with a carpeted space, open on one side only which falls within our main congregation area.
This space makes it much easier for families with young children or babies (our Mini Pilgrims!) to still feel very much part of our services. We provide books, activities and toys for you to play with your child.
