We are an Anglican church with a liberal catholic tradition (Church of England).
We're in the town of Welling (population 42,000), in the Diocese of Southwark.
Our congregation numbers around 120. A quarter of us are under 25.
We have two services on a Sunday, one on a Wednesday and one on a Thursday. The main sung Sunday Service is at 10:00am.
Bible: NRSV.
Hymnbook: two - we use The New English Hymnal and New Hymns and Worship Songs (Supplementary Collection)
We have a great staff supported by our Parochial Chuch Council (PCC) and our family here at St. Mary's. |

Our church week offers lots to do for both congregation members and the wider community, of all ages.
We support lots of projects both at home and overseas (setting aside 10% church’s direct income for the previous year- the church‘s tithe).
There are plenty of ways of volunteering if you want to get stuck into church life.
We have a culture of invitation and outreach to the community

Everyone: Why not try one of our services? You won't be forced to come back, but we hope you'll want to. No one cares if little children make a bit of noise and we have a Family Area in the main body of the church with things to keep toddlers busy! There's a Youth Church at the 10:00am service if you prefer.
5 to 18: We have a thriving Uniformed Organisation at St. Mary's from Beavers and Rainbows to Explorers - click here for more details.
More mature? We offer regular activities for the 'more mature' (50+!)
